New Animal Collective Video - "Fireworks"

After leaving the excellent, free Midlake/New Pornos show at Battery Park yesterday (post tk), we discovered something rather awesome: East Village apartments have outstanding views of the East River fireworks! And after watching Animal Collective's first vid from Strawberry Jam, we discovered something else: the East River's thirty-minute fireworks featured considerably less face-melting and sparkly, silhouetted Pandas, Aveys, Deakins and Geologists than does Animal Collective's seven-minute "Fireworks." It's always a little more fun in the movies.

I guess I'm the only one who thinks this song is just ok...I think it's way to repetitive (the muted guitar/drum beat), even for animal collective, and something about the vocals isn't right...could of easily been edited into a 2min song and should never of been the single

By the way 'Person Pitch' is far and away the best album of the year (so far anyway)

Well, they announced the day before that "PEACEBONE" is the first single, not this. At least that's what Pitchfork said.

I think this is just a 4th of July treat for the fans. It also happened to be one of the only tracks that hadn't leaked yet as far as I can tell.

I don't see it either. Not a fan of this song.

awesome video, although i think it'd work better on a big outdoor screen rather than a little youtube window.
