New April March Video - "Attention Cherie"
Name dropping Allan Ginsberg, Harry Smith, and the Insane Clown Posse leads to fisticuffs in this shaky, black and white April March/Steve Hanft video. March, aka illustrator Elinor Blake, is known for her retro-tinged French pop and for appropriately appearing on Quentin Tarantino, Gus Van Zant, and Alexander Payne soundtracks. Hanft is largely seen as a videomaker (hence the Insane Clown Posse tussle), working with Elliott Smith ("Baby Britain"), Beck ("Loser," "Beercan," etc), the Cure, etc. He also did April March's "Caribou" vid. This particular meta madness combines both worlds into a Los Angeles-based semi-action, something-or-other flick.
April March and Steve Hanft is available for download at Snocap. According to April March's MySpace it'll eventually show up on vinyl, too.
