New Atmosphere Video - "You"

thumbnail icon: New Atmosphere Video - "You"

Atmosphere's video for Shoulda Known" followed two women and the havoc drugs brings into their relationship. That said, the stylized focus on tight gold short shorts and American Flag bikinis made it feel like teaching us a lesson about drugs was couched somewhere below teaching us about the American Apparel lifestyle (lesson learned, I love my new AA sweatpants). This new Eric Husband and Tim Blevins-directed clip for fellow When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold track "You" focuses on a mini skateboard toy and its trek around an Atmosphere performance and some pizza boxes. Cool that Rollins made a cameo (see above).

You can spot Brother Ali in the audience a few times. He doesn't seem all that excited. Maybe he's just bummed both he and Atmosphere were left off VH1's 100 Great Hip-Hop Songs list.

When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold is out via Rhymesayers.

Cool. Reminds me of how I would play with my Hot Wheels and MicroMachines when I was a young one. Speaking of which, the "MicroMachines" video games are awesome.

Way too pop-ish for my taste. The whole album was. At least they got on MTV though...
