New Bat For Lashes Video - "Prescilla"

In addition to unexpectedly championing Spank Rock and predictably pimping Liars, Thom Yorke placed a Bat For Lashes track ("Horses And I") atop his iTunes playlist, saying "Natsha Khan of Bat For Lashes ain't scared ... this song seems to come from the world of Grimm's fairytales." The shout-out added to the steady-building buzz for the Brighton-based chanteuse and last year's debut Fur And Gold. Since, she's re-recorded another of the album's finer moments, "Prescilla" releasing it as a single next month and filming her debut vid in the process. Pakistani by descent, Kate Bush-y by sound, Natasha owns the camera in this surrealist clip like a halcyon Chan Marshall. We like her. A lot. (Thanks, Jose)

I didn't think that I could love this song more, but the addition of the brass section for this single version is lovely.

Wow, how'd I miss this. It took me a second watch to get the rediculous humor but luckily the song hooked me for a second listen. Great and fun vid.

Threatmantics are a scruffy Welsh rock trio that throw some wrinkles into the scruffy rock formula: Instead of a lead guitarist, they have a lead John Cale viola, and their drummer does double-time with a keyboard. The two guys mixing...
