New Be Your Own Pet Video - "The Kelly Affair"

"The Kelly Affair" was one of the tunes BYOP started streaming a few weeks ago. Since then, Jemina fought off some boozy, gropey Mercury Lounge guy, and now she and her fellow Pets turn up in costume for a party where "everybody here's got sex on their minds," taking pills, living in the Valley. Yeah yeah yeah, BYOP make for a good house party band. Watch it here.

Hear more new BYOP at MySpace. Get Awkward is out 3/18 on Ecstatic Peace.

Saw them open for the Raveonettes Sunday night. They have a lot of fun on stage and Jemina is cute and crazy and all, but their songs all sounded kinda the same.

I'm super excited for their new release. Their self titled album was amazing and I can't wait to hear what they do with this one!

Music/Movie nerd Trivia time!

"The Kelly Affair" was the original name of the band that turned into "The Carrie Nation" in Roger Ebert and Russ Meyer's masterpiece, "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls."
