New Beck Video - "Gamma Ray"

thumbnail icon: New Beck Video - "Gamma Ray"

We've been pretty upfront about liking Beck's Modern Guilt. One of our favorite tracks is the darkly upbeat "Gamma Ray," which pairs a ghostly background vocal echo with a sort of thwapping groove. The surrealistic video for the song -- which, as we mentioned, you got if you preordered Modern Guilt at iTunes -- adds various shapes, stripes, spinninig lips, dissolving Becks, a bouffant, and dead-eyed and paper-headed extras to the mix.

The general vibe's reminiscent of the teaser trailer, but this definitely scurries deeper into the rabbit hole. (Thanks for the heads up, Mike.)

Nice record, great song, good video.
Bad live show... saw him last week and the sound was awful. The track selection and oreder was a mistake andthe band sounded weak.
I waited outside the venue with a friend to have Beck's autograph and he came out surrounded by 5 security studs and hanging by the arm of a roadie... there about 20 fans waiting and he looked and acted in a Michael Jackson weird way.. I was boomed and sad to see someone I admire quite a bit in such mental state.
