New Bruce Springsteen Video - "Radio Nowhere"

After the good deed done by the Boss man (offering up the first single from the forthcoming Magic as a limited-time free download), Mr. Springsteen evens it all out by premiering the track's clip via Amazon's horrendous media player. But hey, it's just a click away and free of charge, so our complaints remain minimal. Even though the tune recalls driving down the freeway, Bruce chooses to juxtapose the dim-lit performance shots with scenes of the E streets of the big city (human traffic navigating rush hour crowds, window washers) and black-and-whites still pics of the man himself. Looks to be recorded at a really slow shutter speed, though the herk 'n' jerk may come compliments of the subpar video streamer.

Watch it in all its pixelated glory at Amazon. Magic out 9/25 on vinyl and 10/2 on CD via Columbia.

UPDATE: YouTube after the jump...

Sounds more like Interpol than Springsteen. Maybe that's why it's so boring.

You've gotta love the lack of cultural perspective it takes to imply that Springsteen ripped off Tommy Tutone. It's a simple song with basic chord changes - big shocker that there are going to be other songs that sound like it.

ATI, I hope you'll next apply those valuable years of musical theory to show us how "Louie Louie," "More Than a Feeling," and "Smells Like Teen Spirit" sound, like, totally alike, man.

I reckon it sounds something like Creed crossed with The Killers.. Should sell a truckload, so.

My amazon player worked perfectly. Not sure what the hell you're talking about. Don't like the video but the song is damn fine. I mean, it's Bruce...

You are right - Bruce is rubbish. Did you hear the new b-side by Death by Teddy Bears? New Deathcore trio from Greenpoint. They are awesome. Used to tour with CommGuru and Sons of the Stage. Check them out.

Yeah, what the hell kind of shithole computer were you watching this video on, Stereogum? The video is crisp and clear for me, much better than the usual YouTube quality. Geez.

And I really couldn't care less about whether or not the song sounds like another song. A good song is a good song, and this sounds damned good to me. Bruce's voice is still one of the most inspiring out there. Respect your superiors, you arrogant little bitches. Motherfucking respect.

Bruce sucks. he's had 30 years to show me something.. it all sounds the same like a wall of jangly sound.. and what the hell is that jangle sound? His "new" album could have been his first back in the day. Man this guy was NEVER the boss.. Oh people say you gotta see him live... You would have to PAY ME to see him live!!!!!
You can NOT understand a word he sings, he probably should take a shit before he sings, it's almost as bad as Michael Bolton busting a nut with his irritating singing!!!!..
