New Common (Feat. Lily Allen) Video - "Drivin' Me Wild"

Last time a track (Feat.) Lily Allen got the vid treatment was Mark Ronson's Kaiser Chiefs cover "Oh My God," and Mark decided to set Lil's voice to an animated Jessica Rabbit-type. But dapper rapper Common's smart enough to know Lily's cheek is best served in live-action, so forget the cartoon stuff -- that's really her in that astronaut gear! Just like that's really Jeremy Piven giving Com some finger-wagging assists in a hip hop hallway. Kanye on Entourage, Ari Gold in a Common clip, West producing this track ... may the circle of cool be unbroken.

Finding Forever is out via G.O.O.D. Music/Geffen.

One of the few listenable songs on the album. Lily Allen would still be cute as a quadratic amputee, and she is the only thing keeping this video afloat. Sorry, Jeremy. Also, the author failed to mention the Smokin' Aces tie-in. C'mon.

i love lily and some old school common is alright but after hearing this song for the first time it just kidna sounds like hip hop by the numbers , you've got the repetative hook , the conscious lyrics , the sample heavy beat . not a bad song but this is why i always go running back to my precious mf doom records
ps.lily in a space suit definitly gets a plus

You people are killing me. "Finding Forever" is Common's best album in years.

Lilly Allen in a space suit is infact major points. also the line of "she on the tredmill like ok go" gets points. I dig it.

FYI_ this isn't the finished version of the video. Aside from it being all choppy, the one i saw on MTV site has the car explode..

i really love this song, but the whole new common album is saturated in current event rhymes. which i hate.

plus i just fell in love with lily allen.

You mean she looks like Lucille 2? I don't think so.

This is one of my least favorite Common songs...I sort of feel like Lily's part is pretty unnecessary. I'm not too fond of this collaboration.

hey, i resent that. of course i would have rather had lily in the flesh in my video...the animation was a plan-b scenario because she was busy calling george bush a "twat" somewhere. that aside, the common video is amazing.
