New Dntel Video - "Rock My Boat"

thumbnail icon: New Dntel Video - "Rock My Boat"

With his Postal Service mate talking Kerouac, performing for the Dalai Lama (by the way, very Beat of you, Ben), and otherwise possessing our hearts, it looks like JImmy Tamborello decided to get in on the action, releasing a video for Mia Doi Todd-fronted "Rock My Boat," from last year's Dumb Luck (remember that song?). The video's a downer, focusing on a Mouse Trap machine that takes away freedom: a bug carrying home his kill is trapped in a jar, birds are caught mid-flight by what look like tea strainer, butterflies are forced to walk on treadmills until they're flattened into frames, and fish are poisoned in tiny tanks.

Something always gets away...

Dumb Luck is out on Sub Pop.
