New Duffy Video - "Stepping Stone"

thumbnail icon: New Duffy Video - "Stepping Stone"

Instead of proving her case by taking actual steps, Duffy spends a large chunk of this video for Rockferry tune "Stepping Stone" in bed playing with her hair as some dude in a suit mills about the room. Then she puts on a red dress, only to lie down on the couch in the living room. She finally makes tea, and after a few additional wardrobe changes leaves the apartment, but then it's back to her skivvies and into another outfit, etc. Moral of the story: A day in the life of Duffy is almost as boring as her music. Just kidding? Take a look:

Speaking of outfits, Duffy wore red white and blue for Lollapalooza 2008, but she's actually one of the artists making the UK -- not America -- cool again.

Rockferry is out via Mercury.

Cheap Bacharach rip-off, 1/10th as talented as Petula Clark or Dusty Springfield and 1/1000th as talented as Dionne Warwick. Hell, BLUR does a better job at apeing classic 60's. WEAK!

her voice is reminiscent of nails on a chalkboard. no matter how much meth
Amy Wiinehouse is on, i'll take her over Duffy.

The "Old School" features on the site are strangely reminiscent of the stuff you post on yours... Robyn and Duffy... for fuck's sake. It's all so stupid.

Threatmantics are a scruffy Welsh rock trio that throw some wrinkles into the scruffy rock formula: Instead of a lead guitarist, they have a lead John Cale viola, and their drummer does double-time with a keyboard. The two guys mixing...
