New Eagles Video - "How Long"

The sweet 'n' safe harmonies of Eagles' relatively well liked latest gets a black & white video (no color = the best makeup money can buy). Our fearless bird men traverse Tatooine-styled desert dunes and come upon a most glorious surprise: a stripped hangar equipped with instruments meant for rockin'! And later, the action takes us to a campfire with just the guys and their guitars. If you think it's all sorta boring, don't feel bad -- they don't look too thrilled either.

And a note to Universal Music Group: Thanks for the vid upload, though you may like to know that your venerable clients Henley, Frey et al abhor the definite article before their name, so you might wanna edit down that YouTube header to just "Eagles."

WHY THE EAGLES?

WHY THE EAGLES?

WHY THE EAGLES?

Here's a great idea! Why don't you just limit artist coverage on this site to *only* bands that have garnered diamond RIAA certification. That way, you can be sure all the sponsorship checks clear at the end of the month. It's a win-win! Can't wait for the oncoming flood of Fleetwood Mac coverage. Yay!

I liked this the first time—when it was called The Traveling Wilburys.

This time—not so much.

Yeah, it's boring but if it were Ryan Adams the naysayers would be all over it. You know them: the same ones that find Al "Year of the Cat" Stewart to be soooo lame, yet break out the knee pads for sound-alikes The Decemberists. (Yeah, like you hadn't noticed how similar "Here I Dreamt I Was An Architect" is to the above feline-related tune.)

I have but one thing to say about this video: it's great that Joe Walsh looks relatively sober.

Against Me!, new Rilo Kiley, new Foo Fighter, new Eagles. Quite a site you guys have these days. Did Spin buy you and I just not hear about it?
I've never liked the Eagles but even a naysayer such as myself can recognize that this shit wouldn't fly in a mid-afternoon set on Broadway in Nashville.

Fantastic song. These boys were the band of the 70's and its great for them to release a new album after all this time. This song is gonna be hugely popular, its more there old tune and it sounds awesome. I wouldnt worry about the internet nay sayers, silent majority..vocal minority. These sort of people are just pissed off they could never realise a decent song and try to stand out by making idiotic comments!

If you suck animal collective cock you just shouldn't be allowed to comment on posts like this. You know...with melodic music. Just cause it doesn't sound like the theme tune to a dancing clown finger-painting on a unicycle. And come on, the new album has over 20 songs on it , they're not all about cashing in just yet.

Now, now, children. Certainly you all have better things to do than bash one of the greatest bands of ALL time. If you can do it so much better go for it. Then you can spend your time, counting all your cash and accolades!!

This song is living proof that RAP IS DEAD!!!!!!!!! amazing how good MUSIC sounds without a bass drum and a clapper; and lyrics written by an idiot with a 5th grade education.

If you don't Eagles then what the hell are you wastin your time posting comments on somethin you know nothing about. you've obviously got tooooooo much time on your hands..Eagles are one of the best bands ever and they have made a very brave move to bring out a brand new single/ album after all this time. i love the new song it's brand new and yet it still got the Eagles 'thing' that made them so great. great job boys. can't wait to hear the rest of the album. all those with stupid negative comments."GO LISTEN TO SOMETHIN ELSE"

Well, for starters they're all playing in time and there are no drum loops or sound effects...the guitars are in tune...let's face it..these guys FORGOT more about music than MOST of you will ever know. Try writing a song sometime. It's a good solid 4 min song and when was the last time you heard one of those?
It won't change the face of pop music but you won't want to throw your radio out the window either.

Not the greatest video I ever saw, but is good to know the Eagles are back. Maybe only us 50-somethings can really appreciate the music! Let's give some credit to the songwriter-JD Souther-the forgotten Eagle!

60 + years old with only two original members and they still sound as good as ever. It makes me proud to be an old musician.

Those of you with the negative comments: Eat your hearts out.

Obviously, the crap that the young mindless kids are listening to today
formulates their mindset for the mindless comments they are making about
a very credible band of the 70's. Their musicianship is great and everything
about them was right on!
