New Editors Video - "Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors"

Of the tracks we've heard, this was a poor choice for a first single, Editors. But the vid clearly demonstrates the band's cinema-rock ambitions, telling the tale of a girl on the run and recalling a far-less apocalyptic Children Of Men (or maybe that's 'cause we just watched that flick again the other day ... so good).

Sweet Jesus that girl walks on water! No wonder those doctors are chasing her. Graphic designers can check the mustard yellow centrifugal motion of the An End Has A Start album art after the jump.

An End Has A Start is out 7/17 via Epic/FADER.

People actually enjoyed Editors' first album? I thought it was just a more melodic version of She Wants Revenge.

The first two singles I've heard from the new Editors album kicks ass. Their first album was one of the best of 2006.

Thanks for the posts on Editors. I'm absolutely loving their new songs. I think the hype over their first album was totally justified and they're damn good live and well, i'm just going to kiss their asses because they're great.
The new hair suits him too.

Wow what a great fucking song! If thats not a good choice for a single I dont know what is. I saw them play at SXSW 2 years ago and they blew everyone away. Their sound was so powerful live. I hope they get all the success they deserve.

Great song! I dig the video! I've actually never heard this band before, but not I want to get to know their music a lot more!

Also after reading Jacoby's comment, I want to see them live!

After actually watching that video, I will admit, it is leaps and bounds over anything on their first album.

I'll be keeping an open mind for this album.

Allen,

I think you meant to say She Wants Revenge sounded like the Editors - their album came out way before over in the UK.
