New Elvis Perkins Video - "All The Night Without Love"

The instant-vintage cinematography of this clip for one of Artist To Watch Elvis Perkins's many shining Ash Wednesday moments suits the troubadour perfectly, distilling his blend of casual, boheme arrangement (how many songs can you name with harmonica and harmonium?) and throwback authenticity. And don't forget the facial scruff and chunky patterned sweaters. Watch it at MTV Overdrive.

Ash Wednesday is out 2/20 on XL.

I love this video!!!!!! It is so pretty... havent seen anything this good in a while. These girls always make great shit out of what are probably 20 dollar budgets.

Saw them open for Okkervil and was super impressed. I'll be interested to see what's different on the actual release vs. what they sold me at the show.

Also saw them open for OkRv. He was amazing live; much, much better than studio album (which is good, but doesn't include "Doomsday" or "Shampoo" and is a little whiny, whereas live he is mournful). And "May Day" takes on a new significance live, as well. Obviously b/c of the events influencing his songs there is an earnestness about his music live, which one doesn't see very often.

I'm sure this video kicks ass. Too bad I live in Canada and will never get to see it.
