New Estelle (Feat. Kanye West) Video - "American Boy"

thumbnail icon: New Estelle (Feat. Kanye West) Video - "American Boy"

London town's Brit crit beloved Estelle gets a black and white clip for her '90s-radio, new soul flavored "American Boy," which has become a bit of a hit because it features a blazing hot Kanye West verse in which he rhymes "seats" with "seats." Lyrical dexterity like that's why he's a pro (and also why he's also collecting checks on Kid Sister's "Pro Nails"). Kanye's joined in the vid by other American boy and her Homeschool label's main proprietor, John Legend. Decent song but if you ask us this is all a totally unsubtle attempt at duping one of these dudes into being her ticket to a Green Card.

Estelle's Shine is out 5/6 on John Legend's Homeschool (Atlantic).

Wow. I love this song. It's been on repeat on my itunes since forever but the video isn't that amazing. Looks like she didn't have that much of a budget, so the only way for it to look cool and real was for it to be in black and white. The song makes up for the mediocre video though.
