New Faint Video - "The Geeks Were Right" When we posted about "The Geeks Were Right," we decided the geeks were probably wrong about everything except sci-fi clichés and plodding pre-programmed beats. Now there's a neon band-directed video for the track at the Faint's official site and, wisely, they all mutate, mask, or otherwise obscure their faces. While you're Fainting, you can stream Fasciinatiion (out now on blank.wav) and read up on tour dates at the quintet's MySpace.

pretty great album. now that the Faint and the Shins have jumped from the label wagons, we should soon be able to exclaim 'death to the [somewhat]majors'.

I don't know what people are hearing that I'm not, but this album is not good. Even Pitchfork giving it a 6.0 seemed way too generous to me. This band lost what inspiration they had.

It's funny you should mention pitchfork, this site is starting to read like pitchfork... and that's not a good thing.

This album sounds like a demo.
Self-producing was not a good idea.
