New Final Fantasy Video - "Horsetail Feathers"
Last fall after a period of post-Poos silence, Owen Pallett released a pair of excellent EPs, and in their wake, a pair of interesting videos. Unlike "Blue Imelda" and "The Butcher," Owen actually turns up in Pays To Please's "Horsetail Feathers." Director Tracy Maurice makes good work of the cut's old-timey symphonic swing, essentially answering the age-old question "What if All That Jazz was a futuristic space oddity?" Yep that old chestnut.

Pays To Please and its companion EP Spectrum, 14th Century are out via Blocks Recording Club. Also worth noting: Owen and Grizzly Bear will be performing at BAM's Howard Gilman Opera House in Brooklyn on 2/28.

That fey little jazzbo Canadian...the vaudevillian sound, b&w look and weirdo imagery like the dancing girls legs and squishy eggs in cocaine reminds me of 'Eraserhead'
