New Foals Video - "Cassius"

British experts have been talking up Foals for some time now ... or well since they started forecasting '08's breakouts. And we finally got to see 'em this past CMJ. In the video for the ultra-catchy "Cassius" from their forthcoming debut Antidotes, the post-punky dance-rock quintet pose amid hanging hearts (it's like Rocky or rope-a-dope for wimps), smash flowers percussively, create intricate puppets from a million little pills, and show off their excellent hairdos. Then out come the scissors.

But not to fuck with the hair. Hopefully that isn't foal meat. The herky jerky (ah, ha) pulse reminds us of some other well-dressed buzzers.

Antidotes is out 3/24 in the UK on Transgressive and 4/8 in the US via Sub Pop.

I can't believe you guys posted "Cassius" over "Balloons"! What is the deal here?

Agree that "Balloons" is the better song, but this is their new vid.

Indian Jewelry - "Walking On The Water"

We dug Invasive Exotics, Houston crew Indian Jewelry's 2006 long player, but the feedback feels warmer, the structures more assured, expansive, unhinged and less Doors-y/VU-derived on Free Gold!. In fact, even if you didn't like their older work, you might...
