New frYars Video (Feat. Dave Gahan) - "Visitors"

Young UK BTW frYars, aka 19-year-old Ben Garrett, aka the man with the olive eyes, has a new pull-out-the-visual-stops-'80s-style video for "Visitors," a song featuring Dave Gahan on backing vocals. The Depeche Mode man also makes a dark, venetian blinded appearance in the clip. The song's the first single from frYars' forthcoming Dark Young Hearts, which you can expect in a few months. It follows two EPs, The Ides and Perfidy and interestingly, despite a bit of hype, Garrett opted not to release Dark via a standard record label: He's putting it out on his own frYarcorp (with funding from Bandstocks, where you can currently download the single). More of that in a second. For now, the video.

If you hand over your email address you can download "Visitors" for free at Bandstocks. It'll be out physically 3/2 b/w a remix by seminal synth pop producer Stephen Hague. You can hear the single and remix at frYars' MySpace.

Dark Young Hearts is out in May via frYarcorp.

Pretty let down for someone who enjoyed the songs Madeline and Happy. This seems so less inventive, so less interesting.
