New Gnarls Barkley Video - "Going On"

thumbnail: New Gnarls Barkley Video - "Going On"

As we may have told you, much of the Odd Couple will make you fall asleep. Some won't, though, and "Going On" is definitely one of Cee-Lo and Danger Mouse's best post-St. Elsewhere jams. Fittingly then, the Wendy Morgan-directed video for the track is a booty shaking dance-a-thon, but not like "Run"'s Timberlake-hosted TV dance party. This one's set in Jamaica with cooler hats, smoother moves, and more dust. Plus, it stars a real-life Magritte door and some kinda love story.

You're so surreal, Gnarls. But seriously, this video and song kick ass. If you haven't, make sure to check out our terrible spread of iPhone pics from Gnarls's set at Highline. (They smilingly called it an "overpaid dress rehearsal," so we replied in kind with totally unprofessional photographic equipment. One turn begets the other, guys.)

The Odd Couple is out via Atlantic.

I actually like Odd Couple more than St. Elsewhere. There are more consistently good songs.

Hasn't this video already been done? I just can't remember by who; Janet Jackson or Nike. l

No one likes this band and they have nothing in common with the other bands that you feature.

Love this band - I like the new album better than the first, too. This song and A Little Better are my favorites.
Haters to the left, I', ;ooking forward to watching this band evolve

I agree with Colin. St Elsewhere was quite spotty. The new one is solid all the way thru.

the video was somewhat cool to watch...I donno what the time travel stuff is all about....or what that ties into or...the words on the screen that was wack. It was shot well though, that is for sure.

That video is pretty damn cool. It has am absolutely great vibe and groove, tough its direction isn´t anything revolutionary. Liked the Odd Couple a lot, it has some pretty neat songs in it.
