New Grizzly Bear Video - "Central And Remote"

The second clip from the still-incredible Yellow House LP sees Grizzly Bear opt for a new director (Jesse Ewles), while keeping somethings constant: namely, bizarre, adjective-defying characters amidst interactive, sentient elements of nature. Last time rocks formations sprang to life and conducted vaginal excavations, and here a rabid autumnal bouquet mercilessly devours a Predator-meets-scarecrow hybrid guy in a fitful act of revenge. Like ya do. And actually, its mesh of right-brained plot and video/stop-animation cinematography is oddly arresting and, somehow, perfectly emotional. Here are a couple of stills of hero and villain, courtesy of director Jesse's blog.

Watch the vid at Subterranean.

AND sweet bonus: Apparently at some point Jesse was working on a video for Sufjan that never was made. But he's got mad stills! Check 'em after the jump.

What's the idea with this song getting a video and not "On a Neck And a Spit"?

I don't get that.

(to the first poster, the song isn't being released as single or anything. a video was just happened to be made for it.)

if the first video they did had vaginal influences...

then the 1st picture posted above must be a least a tiny bit vaginal too, right?

Ya I'd save it as my wallpaper if there weren't a gigantic pink vagina in the middle of that animal's face.

That is really fucking disturbing. I seriously feel a little nauseous after that.

I'm glad this song's getting some exposure. While "Knife" is a good song, "Central and Remote" has always been one of my favorite cuts [along with "Little Brother"]. I was always mystified by the fascination with "Knife" over this song.

and i agree with you, captivating despite lack of jenny boobs. but, there are porn stars, and that always helps.
