New Gwen Stefani Video - "4 In The Morning"

Some of you love all things Gwen, some think The Sweet Escape was a debacle. But how can you fault us for wanting to stare at her for four more minutes? At least you can do it for her; she has been on a diet for 27 years, after all. Plus, we get Bathtub Gwen and Suit & Tie Gwen. Something for everyone.

Why does every Gwen ballad video have soft lighting, glamour shots, a plethora of wigs and forced emotion?

This song sounds canned and generic, very similar to No Doubt's "Running" and the video looks like a mix of "Underneath it All" and "Cool".

She has boobies now - when did that happen?

To answer Mark's question above, it's cause they are almost all directed by Sophie Muller.

But I won't take credit for that observation, read it on Obtusity.

I think the whole being pregnant/nursing thing helped her out in the breast department.

I honestly didn't think Gwen could get more boring, but she proved me wrong. Way to go.

I thought the story arc of the video was great; definitely a lot of character development... Gwen walks through a house. Linger on the buns. Linger on the new twins. Gwen made it to the other end of the house.

HUZZAH!!

That video was dull, and as pointed out above, filmed during the day. I also want to know, who wears so much make-up to bed? That was insane.

The song was atrocious, which means it should be a big hit. Congrats Gwen! You went from being a pretty cool chick to being Paris Hilton #2.

I hear a lot of jealousy in here. So many negative people. Gwen is a talented musician. I'd like to see anyone of you create something and put it out there for the world to criticize.

Keep it up Gwen!

It doesn't matter what some people in here say... it's a great song, with that touch of melancholy! I really like it and it is my favorite from Gwen's latest album... it's right there with Cool from L.A.M.B.

I normally love Gwen but this song is boring. In response to a comment somewhere above about her trying to look like Madonna, she's trying to pull off Marilyn Monroe (who Madonna tried to look like as well)but this is definately an attempt to be all Marilyn. Also, she got her boobs done after she had her kid. Yeah, having a kid can change body parts - boobs can get bigger with weight gain, but then shrink again with the weight loss and after the whole milk production ends. Those boobs are fake. Whatever though, this video and song bores me and she annoys me with her dumb dead stare, her dumb blank expression throughout the entire dull thing.

Yeah i definetly agree with detta that she's trying to look like Marilyn Monroe - when i first watched the video, that was the first thing i assumed. anyways, i think the video is boring to watch but the song is really nice....i like it a lot, its soft and kinda slow with a sad touch... its so much better than her other annoying and pointless songs (hollaback, rich girl, sweet escape)..uuugggh

I need screen shots of her hair when its down and curly in the vid (meaning not up for car shots or wet for bath shots). It's for my stylist, she wants pics. Does anyone have any?

I've uploaded some screenshots from the vid as I'd like to grab her style too - hope this works!

Band To Watch: Blank Dogs

Blank Dogs are actually singular: It's the insanely prolific one-man Brooklyn-based band of Mr. Blank Dog. We don't know too much about the biography of the guy behind the bedroom new-wave pop/punk and he's usually covering his face with masks...

Quit Your Day Job: Megafaun

Raleigh-via-Eau Clair BTW Megafaun debuted impressively earlier this year with Bury The Square. The trio nip-and-tuck experimental tendencies (tape splicing, white noise colliding with banjo, junkyard-laced spring reverb, screeching feedback at the tail end of a quiet back porch lament)...
