New Hot Hot Heat Video - "Harmonicas & Tambourines"

Less symbolism than last time and the drama's dialed down a notch, but Steve Bays's curls continue to loom large in this retro-printed clip for "Harmonicas & Tambourines," lyrics printed for your karaokeing pleasure. (Although you're probably not gonna sing along, let's agree it's better than "Let Me In"). They say magic words like "Hotel Chelsea" and "Brooklyn" and take stabs at comical quirk but sorry to say triple H, it's not happening here. Also note the excessive depictions of straightening irons, and again, Steve Bays's curls. Maybe a subconscious rendering of fears of going flat? Too late.

Happiness LTD. is out now on Sire/Warner.

a few observations if I may....

1. this whole "we have no video budget...so if we ironically make a cheap 80's style video no one will ever know the difference" thing has been done to death (re: Snoop Dogg)

2. this guys are styled how they usually look...which is a bunch of total dorks....especially the lead singer who looks like he's wearing a unitard with a white dinner jacket over it..

3. the song is shite...

I could go on, but why?

Is that naturally curly hair on the lead singer or is that just a bad perm? The guy looks like a homosexual cocker spaniel.
