New Jennifer Lopez Video - "Do It Well"

This is what happens when J. Lo stops being nice and starts pushing people down stairs. Jennifer and her dance track hit a shady club to kick asses and taking names (in English!) in low cut dresses, short-cut skirts, and three different hairstyles. What makes this particular nightspot so nasty? Kinky S&M practices that involve dressing dudes in mouse masks and whipping 'em while caught in over-sized spring traps good enough for ya? OK, fine J's more concerned with the club making kids wash dishes behind locked doors in hideous kitchen staff uniforms. Obviously, she's not having it.

Agreed Jim and JG. Pretty weak. If I wanted to read about J.Lo, Kanye West, and 50 Cent; I'd head over to MTV or VH1.com.

I would love to see the pitch for this video.

Surprisingly, there's already a mashup of it. Check out this: http://www.audiohacker.com/releases/

It's "Do It Well" vs Justice's "D.A.N.C.E." plus a little of New Order's "Fine Time" and The Bee-Gees' "Stayin' Alive."

Hopefully that'll bring back some content to the post.

I don't know, the opening and chorus is pretty sick, the verses don't quite work, but the strings and synths are fantastic.

most obvious things that were not described in the blurb, possibly for good reason. J. Lo has a hamster fetish, fat black woman fetish, and seems to be an L.L. Cool J fan, probably because her initials can be found in his name (Doin' It Well...the line he so sex whisperingly sang in um "Doin' It."

Oh and she definitely didn't chuck all those people across the rooms. It was nice of them to do the wrestler courtesy and jump to make her look like she's from the boogie down.

J. Lo new spokeswoman for Save the Children.

None of this that I just posted made any sense.

I strongly believe it's time you started a collum called... 'Let's all laugh at..'at least that way we'd know if you were being serious or not. Otherwise i have no other explanation as to why you posted this.

Can anyone recommend a decent music blog? I really can't deal with this site any more!

I happen to appreciate the heads up on such horrifying pop-music news...there isn't anywhere else I'd read about - and subsequently mock - such complete shite.

Thank you, stereogum, from the bottom of my bitter and *disgusted heart.

ps the mashup is pretty sweet.

*all current and future disgust is directed solely at the foolish person/s involved with this video/song/album/tour/probable-grammy-nomination. Stereogum's just the messenger, friends, not the problem.

I am sick of this crap! This video should be banned and burned and so should Ho-pez! I can't believe the bias in this country against "men" This video is a blatent display of how this country percieves "men". If this were a video that had a man beating the crap out of women like that; the video would be banned, Al Sharpton would be outraged along with every female in the world wanting an apology, but because it's "men" that is absorbing all the violence society sees it as ok!?????? And women have the nerve to try and tell a "man" how to treat a woman?????? I guess now if your're female and you want to make a comeback, just make a video beating up guys and your career will take of!????. Madonna did it as did Beyonce. It is time "men" need to speak up and stop taking this crap. Boycott this video and all the others like it. It's time women in this country learned how to treat a man!!!! What has happened to the "men" in this country??

This video(amongst other things)also reflects the fact that women only want equality in this country only if it benefits them. I bet you won't see "one" female protester because they think beating up men is "cool" or somehow that it is deserved???? It's also a reminder to guys as to how women use power. I would like to see what Clinton thinks of this "Do it well" video that blatantly displays violence against men.
