New José González Video - "Down The Line"

When "Down The Line" started streaming over at MySpace, word came down that Andreas Nilsson of the Knife-collaboration fame would provide directorial services for the track's video, which now is complete in all its swine-starring glory. Andreas took inspiration from the Jim Woodring cartoon Frank -- except from what we can tell, Frank didn't feature a car-burning/cig-smoking pigman. But the weirdest twist is seeing pig dude use his finger to write "Ella" in the windown condensation. It's true: 9/10 ungulates prefer Rihanna.

Every time I watch one of these videos I feel like I'm one of the most shallowest people on the planet, because I never understand them. I need explosions or booty shaking to help me with plot lines. The burning car did help, though.

nice song and video. woodring's artwork looks like he was strongly influenced by R. Crumb (of Fritz the Cat and Mr. Natural fame)

That was a great song. But pigman's tumorous pate frightened me so.

that was depressing. Im a huge Knife fan and to see the two artists collaborate in the form of a video is wonderful.

This song just made me interested in Jose. His version of Heartbeats is great as well. Any more highlights I should check out?
