New Kanye West Video - "Flashing Lights"

Along with the constant spew of outspoken nonsense, Kanye's Grammy-grabbing LP's produced a slew of solid singles, and a spate of undeniably memorable videos. Spike Jonze does the honors here, and does them well: apparently this is what happens when Kanye's girl gets fed up with him leaving that lightjacket on in the middle of the night. If bare, curvy ass cheeks are against your company policy, you might wanna flag this one NSFW; "Praise You" this ain't. (via)

Graduation is out via Island Def Jam.

This is actually just the teaser video, BET is showing the whole thing tonight.

Sidebar: Also, please look at this video 'gum. I'm in stitches at the Clinton campaign trying to be so hip. "All the blogs are talking about it,!" - Dirty Hipster

Maybe it is funny, but that "Yes We Can" video is the best reason yet not to vote for Obama. Good god, I don't even want to know anyone thats willing to swallow that cynical, contrived BS.

Chicks like this are the reasons why hip hop videos will always trump fruity little indie creations like disembodied hands, sequined tops and choreographed dance moves, or freaky blowouts like Mum.

If my pants aren't feeling tight by the end of the video, than it's not something worth watching. Granted my pants are already tight, because I bought them in the women's section of some overpriced boutique in the Village. It's worth it though, girls dig the junk on display. Unless they're one of those... vegans.

There is an outstanding chance that Spike Jonze ripped this concept from a talented Australian music video director.

Band To Watch: Blank Dogs

Blank Dogs are actually singular: It's the insanely prolific one-man Brooklyn-based band of Mr. Blank Dog. We don't know too much about the biography of the guy behind the bedroom new-wave pop/punk and he's usually covering his face with masks...
