New Kasabian Video - "Vlad The Impaler"

thumbnail icon: New Kasabian Video - "Vlad The Impaler"

Jay-Z beloved Leicester, UK rockers Kasabian's third album West Rider Pauper Lunatic Asylum is out in June, but we're already getting a taste via "Vlad The Impaler." Nice, there aren't enough songs about Vlad the Impaler, aka Vlad Dracula, aka Dracula, aka etc. In this retrofit video, English actor and comedian Noel Fielding, aka The Mighty Boosh's Vince Noir, does a great job playing the grim, but lovable title role.

You can nab an MP3 of the track for a limited time (until midnight 4/3) at www.kasabian.co.uk. It premiered today on Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show.

The West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum is out 6/8 via RCA.

Really liking this - the song is a bit different, in a good way, for Kasabian, and it definitely fits the vibe of the video, which is awesome.

Hehe, great video, lackluster new single (Only lyrically mind you). Hehe, the dude from Mighty Boosh is looking for a LARGE Golfball to put on his spike....

I love kasabian, why does everyone always have to post how much they hate something. Who cares, who really cares that i like kasabian either but at least what i'm saying is positive.

Wow, that song is a little all over the place. Really bad. Video could have been good, but the execution was a little cheesy!

For the record, the song is not the first actual single from the record, instead it's apparently going to be a song called "Fire" that is to be released on June 1st in the UK. This was posted on their myspace/website earlier today.

That's the scoop, hope that helps.

"the execution was a bit cheesy"

Is it not painfully obvious that it is meant to be cheesy!?
