New Killers Video - "For Reasons Unknown"

The Killers venture back from the far East to the wild wild west, riding horses, posing with cacti, and taking literalist takes on their lyrics ("there was an open chair..." -- actually, four of 'em!). A tip of the hat for adding some absurdity, though, with Brandon's noggin grafted upon a turkey's body and placed upon a spit, roasted to perfection. Rotisserie Flowers = delicious.

well... I'll be the first to shit all over it.. here goes: This is fucking terrible. Question: has there ever been a more awkward (and not in a cool, Elvis Costello way) Lead singer than Brandon Flowers? Seriously.. this is hard to watch

It's almost like Brandon realized how ridiculous the new album was and is tring to compensate by playing up irony in the videos.

Or maybe he thinks it's cool. He's at the point where you can't tell.

Either way, I still think "read my mind" is a good song. This one isn't too too bad either.

The best Killers video was the UK version of "All these Things I've Done" but this video showed no effort or originality. How many fucking times are they going to use a western theme? I love the Killers, great albums, awesome live, but this was just balls.

I dunno, I still think it's easily digestible, and don't mind eatin' it.

First time I've heard the song, and I think it's pretty cool. They could have done a lot of cool things with it. If I had known they were low on cash I would have bought the album so they could hire a decent director.

Song ok. Video terrible. It's funny to watch for the first minute, but then it turns to very very sad. Aren't they supposed to be this big, well-known band? I think it tries to be campy in a Huey Lewis kind of way. Maybe Brandon digs Huey Lewis? Well Brandon should "want a new drug" after that. Ho!

i love the killers but the video sucks! well, i guess they were pretty low on the budget since they did three videos before this, so i won't blame them too much. can't deny it's such an awesome song though.

the americana/wild west theme is running through the album and is their image for this particular album. once album 3 comes out they'll have a whole new image once again - such as the change in style between the first two albums.
