When it comes to reviews of the new Kings Of Leon track, there shall be none greater than commenter orton1227's, which read: "'Sex On Fire'??? Sounds like they wrote a song about their struggles with STDs." And when it comes to sounds, there shall be none sweeter than hearing Caleb scream just before the "YOUR SEX IS ON FIRE" line, all with orton1227 in mind. You should really maintain that superimposed misconstruction of the hook throughout the video. It makes the closeups of Caleb's confessional stares and painful writhing all the more special.
Did he just belch out the smoke monster? Only By The Night is out 9/22 in the UK (where it will sell) and 9/23 in the States (where it won't) via RCA. Please stop ruining their concerts.

I've loved em since youth, and continue to love them, this song included. Aha was their best yet, but still love em. just some solid rock songs. i even like the guys (as much as someone could like them w/o knowing them). they sort of harken back to that day of pompous, dirty, sex/drug-obsessed rock & roll, and i think that's sort of refreshing nowadays.

Apparently, Caleb randomly said "Your sex is on fire" to someone and they told him that sounded like a good hook (*don't know all the facts, but read that, so look it up). He is still skeptical about it, and thinks it sounds silly.
I'd like to learn of the reason behind the video first before being too critical, though it was quite off. If there was a specific meaning, it wasn't clear. Although, when the title line of the song was originally meant to be a joke, then making a video with some sort of deeper meaning is quite hard to do. I do think it is quite hilarious how all the girl teenyboppers are like "He's singing about sex, that's hot" when it really started as a joke.
And Aha Shake Heartbreak is still their best album in my eyes.

Look...I as much as anyone have had my doubts about Kings Of Leon for YEARS now, ever since their first fucking album. HOWEVER, you dudes need to loosen up. This really isn't generic, I could see how one might think so at first but it's a really special song. It wouldn't be special in 93, but for today it is. And what's wrong with the video? Who doesn't want to see a group of phenomenal looking guys writhing around all sweaty like they have a fever from the STD's they caught from Kim Stewart? Caleb does not have a comb over, he has a really weird low hairline. If he wasn't so hot he'd actually be kind of weird looking. But no, hot instead. Sex On Fire is all about delivery. The lyrics began as a "joke," whatever, but the way he delivers them is, in fact, ridiculously sexy. Don't hate, you know it's true. My favorite recent song by them is still The Charmer.
But to weigh in on a question posed earlier, I think they all pass around a mirror on the tour bus and jack off individually. But I can't really blame them.
