New Live Crystal Antlers - "Andrew"

thumbnail icon: New Live Crystal Antlers - "Andrew"

Past live favorites Crystal Antlers are following 2008's self-titled, initially self-released EP with Tentacles, their Touch & Go full-length debut. They performed a track from the new collection, the crunchy and dynamic "Andrew," ostensibly named after guitarist Andrew King, or some other Andrew, when they stopped by Fuel's Daily Habit. For fans of the old, they also gave us "Until the Sun Dies Part Two" from that aforementioned EP, which if you recall, was reissued by T&G this past September.

Tentacles is out 4/7 via Touch & Go.

Whoa, just saw them last night in Munich, Germany. Although the crowd wasn't that dense (mayb 20-30 people), they still put on a pretty damn rocking show. They played a couple tracks from Tentacles -- but they never said the titles. One song in particular that I liked had a My Bloody Valentine-esque thrashing interlude for a good 3-4 minutes.

I like this dirty groove meshed with a 60's freak out sound. More, please!

I would think the lead singer's hair getting in his face like that would really bother him, no?
