New N.E.R.D. (Feat. Lindsay Lohan) Video - "Everybody Nose"

thumbnail icon: New N.E.R.D. (Feat. Lindsay Lohan) Video - "Everybody Nose"

Yeah not "Feat." Lindsay Lohan in a way that'll do much for her artistic cred. You actually get the sense, from the quick shot scene and her visible irritation, that Chad and Pharrell actually caught her with cam in hand on her way back from powdering her nose at a club. Don't ask us how they managed to get her to sign a waiver, but put it this way: popping up in a video about "all the girls standing in the line for the bathroom" with 100 dollar bills (look at you! achoo) the same month as taking a turn for the wholesome with image rehab via Ugly Betty guest starring stint is like Britney celebrating her How I Met Your Mother quasi-buzz in a stoned YouTube with K-Fed relapse. But Lohan factors into just a sec of the video -- the rest is a more general strain of hipster Olympics. (Autostart warning, n.e.r.d.s.)

We dug the single's double-bass/sax verse from day one, and N.E.R.D.'s taking that teeming energy transformation for what it's worth, mixing quick cuts of Cobrasnake fodder with beats from that new hyphy-styled dance posse that Pharrell brought to Letterman.

Here's that Letterman performance from the other night:

Glow In The Dark tourmate Kanye did a coked up remix with P, Lu, and Clipse's Pusha T, and he's less subtle about who he's talking ("Paris Lindsay Britney / Mary Kate and Whitney"). Hear it at the 'YeBlog. N.E.R.D.'s Seeing Sounds is out 6/10 via Virgin.

are you kids fuckin serious? name me anyone else with the balls to pull this shit off? how is this any less creative, or impressive than anything from in search of? you kids need a slap. if it wasnt for skateboard P we'd be fuckin ears deep in weak ass randy jackson produced beats and top 40 bullshit. again, if you can name me a single other producer with the exception of maybe Kayne who has the guts to try something new and push it out to the masses id be very excited to hear your thoughts.

They did not catch Lindsay at a club. She was at the video shoot, it was all over the blogs, because a fight broke out there and the cops had to show up.

Quit Your Day Job: Ungdomskulen

The Bergen trio Ungdomskulen play proggy post punk, mixing chops and hooks with a sense of humor. But they don't sound like Primus. When I was in Norway a couple years ago, "Ungdomskulen" seemed to be on everybody's lips (or...

Premature Evaluation: Beck - Modern Guilt
