New Norman Palm Video - "Falling"

thumbnail icon: New Norman Palm Video - "Falling"

Norman Palm did those slowed-down folksy takes on "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" and "Boys Don't Cry" that we posted about last year. Taking a break from the '80s love, the Berlin singer-songwriter is back with a song of his own, "Falling," produced by Jonas Verwijnen. Unlike what we've heard previously, it's a poppy warm weather gem, fleshed out with the angelic vocal accompaniment of Anna Rikje Rosenthal. It's out as a single tomorrow, but we have the colorful sing-a-long video here today.

Palm collaborated with the visual artist Malte Rettberg on that one, as he has on his past video clips. If that's too much joy for one day, check out this excellent hollowed out, factory-clogged, melancholic remix by Berlin-via-Helsinki twiddler Obi Blanche:

Norman Palm - "Falling" (Obi Blanche Remix) (MP3)

Neither version of "Falling" will be on Palm's debut album, which is out in the fall on Ratio Records. But we are told the album will come with a 200-page book of art by Palm. Fair enough. You can get more info, and listen to "Falling" as a stream, at his MySpace.
