New Northern State Video - "Mother May I"

thumbnail icon: New Northern State Video - "Mother May I"

The live-performance video for Long Islanders Northern State's "Mother May I" is way less surreal than the piña colada acid trip they took with "Better Already," though there are a few drink references, including a mojito and a spritzer, which gets bounced off Elliot Spitzer (that could easily be a double entendre if they meant it like that). We also get to meet Hesta Prynn's mother (that's her to the right) and Jeanine Garofalo (not pictured). Don Quixote's involved as well. As is producer (and Lykke Li remixer) Chuck Brody.

If you're in the NYC area, Northern State's playing a show 6/3 at the Knitting Factory. That's tonight.

Can I Keep This Pen? is out via Ipecac.

Saw these awesome ladies open for Tegan and Sara in Munich. They absolutely rocked the house and were so gracious afterwards at the merch booth. Definitely check them out if you can, they're sassy!:)

That video is great. This is the first I'm hearing of this group, but I already like em. I'm gonna catch their show.

Cool vid... they rock live... too much focus on Hesta though. Should be more balanced for the TRINITY.
