New Panda Bear Video - "Bros"

Panda Bear's Person Pitch will be released officially later this month, but you've already been telling your friends that it's one of the year's best releases. And hey, you are absolutely right. This is the premiere of Noah's first solo vid, made by Excepter's Jeff Ryan and his non-Excepter friend Frank. Lots of superimposed feline faces, negative-rendered images of Noah (in the show, we think), and kaleidoscopic color bursts make the clip as transfixing as the song's spacey loops and Carl Wilson croon. Prepare to stare.

You should have this by now:

Person Pitch is out 3/20 on Paw Tracks.

I got about 90 seconds in and turned it off. Is it actually worth watching?

Is that really Noah Lennox? It doesn't look like him... and if so... that hair. That hair. Oy. Reminiscent of Conor Oberst... oy. Or that kid from Third Rock from the Sun. Yeah, that person looks Asian...

I dig this song. it was my last month's hotlist. Haven't watched the video. Excuse my ignorance, this dude and Grizzly Bear are in Animal Collective, right? Am I wrong to think that that band is freaky and excessively wierd but that Panda Bear's album and Grizzly's Yellow House are strangely wonderful? It took me by surprise. Oh and if neither of these dudes or just one is in Animal co. will someone set me straight? thx

Quit Your Day Job: Megafaun

Horse Feathers - "Father"

Portland songwriter Justin Ringle's evocative vocal twang and sharp lyricism are at the center of Horse Feathers' bedroom Americana. The band's second album House With No Home, which follows 2006's Words Are Dead, finds Ringle's vision fleshed out by multi-instrumentalist/composer...
