New Passion Pit Video - "To Kingdom Come"

thumbnail icon: New Passion Pit Video - "To Kingdom Come"

After Passion PIt impressed doubters and synth-pop lovers and graphic designers alike with the early release of their video for "The Reeling," it is simply sensible that their second Manners video doesn't even vaguely aim for hip or hipster points. "To Kingdom Come" is one of their debut's most sugar-steeped songs, almost goofy in the pitch of the keys, and so the band extends the goof to the clip where they're 19th century mad scientists discovering the formula to bring about global warming two hundred years too early. Joy.

Manners is out via Frenchkiss.

Yes I'm not sure why the video upload was mislabeled, but it's fixed on our end! Thanks Henry.

Stereogum was right, Henry! And you were wrong. The album leak mislabeled this track as Eyes as Candles. This is To Kingdom Come. Maybe you'd know that if you bought the record?

Henry fail. To Kingdom Come wins! And so does this video.

Are we sure this isn't Eyes as Candles? I thought To Kingdom Come actually had the phrase "to kingdom come" in the lyrics. as in:
"Sha la la, oh, no no,
To kingdom come so slightly"
.then again, I downloaded the leak too.

first of all, the lyrics for "eyes as candles" is:
"'Sha la la la' on high now,
to kingdom come to slightly."
=P
and yes, those are the right lyrics, this video is "To Kingdom Come."

I'm not exactly sure why Passion Pit did that...BUT I FREAKIN LOVE THEM!!!
