New Raconteurs (Feat. Ricky Skaggs & Ashley Monroe) Video - "Old Enough"

Jack & Co. are joined by youngster country vocalist Ashley Monroe and Nashville bluegrass legend/Grammy mainstay Ricky Skaggs for this reworked take on "Old Enough." The loose, behind-the-scenes-style video's directed by Autumn de Wilde, who did the surrealistic forest dwelling clip for the Consolers Of The Lonely version. In the press release for this new formation, Skaggs notes:

I had a great time doing this video ... It was really fun music to play. By the way, I'm the old guy with the gray hair.

So it's about age in both directions. There are also more than enough smiles to go around, confirming the "fun" thing.

This version of the song's out digitally via Amazon today. It's available at other digital stops on 12/9, when it's also available as a CD. On 12/16 you can get yourself a 7" version.

Consolers Of The Lonely is out via Warner Bros.

this is awesome. i love the countrified version of this song. only downside is i think it loses some of the emotion of the original, with jack white takin a back seat on vocals.

i think jack was purposely trying to switch things up plus he's recovering from some sort of recent neck injury.
