New R.E.M. - "Supernatural Superserious" And Accelerate Promo Video
At this point, we're pretty sure you're aware that Peter Buck, Mike Mills, and Michael Stipe are getting closer to the release of their 14th studio album, produced by Jackknife Lee. What you might not have heard, though, is a full track from Accelerate, so take a listen to the summer camp-volunteering, teenage-angsty "Supernatural Superserious." It's super good. Or at least super decent. (Via P4K)
The humiliation of your teenage station. Stipe knows. You can also hear bits of "Supernatural Superserious" in the band's just-released promotional video clip, too. Only this time with flickering footage...
Speaking of fuzzy black and white videos ... Has anyone remembered to check back to Ninety Nights?
Accelerate is out 04/01 on Warner Bros.

Hmmm...dare i say catchy? Kind of sounds like a generically good track from them.

it seems like a good song but i can't decide if it's just because reveal and around the sun are nigh unto unlistenable, and so it's refreshing to hear something that's at least not bad.

Sounds like they found their guitars again. About damn time.

Good song, and finally some Mills harmonies again.

reveal was a great album. criminally underrated.
around the sun was terrible.
this one might redeem them....

Supernatural, superserious. Wow. Probably not the best song on the album anyway, their first single seldom is.

a good first single. Catchy, warm and fuzzy. Guitars are back, so is Mills.
Kind of a good tone-setter for what's to come.
However, "Living Well" is the one that's going to blow everyone away. It's one of the best R.E.M. tracks ever.

its amazing how a gr8 rock band is able to reinvent themselves album after album.....im irish but rem are the greatest band in the world. better than u2

Am I the only person who loved Around The Sun. I've probably listened to it more than any of their other albums. So brooding and folky. Fantastic. In contrast, I didn't enjoy this new song much at all - way too poppy, yet not catchy enough to be a true anthem.
