New Rivers Cuomo Video - "Lover In The Snow"

Rivers Cuomo gets sentimental in this "Lover In The Snow" clip. Before the song starts, he gives us an emotional voice over monologue about how he romanticized soccer because his dad loved it -- he drew soccer scenes for pop, tried his best -- but ultimately wasn't able to play because of a leg condition. This is where Cuomo decides to put his passion into music and where we hand the mic over to everyone's favorite Weezer for the rest of his inspirational sports tale. Nutmeg!

Lover in the snow, soccer trainer in the rain. Was this what he was trampolining for in "Blast Off!"? Probably not, but either way -- Rivers is definitely all about Rocky these days.

Alone: The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo is out now on Geffen.

I love these little solo videos. Rivers has always had a sort of charm to his personality, even during his asshole phases. I love the little weirdo.

So Rivers cried all of those tears used for the shots in the rain? How f'ing self-indulgent of him...

On a similar note, check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thYRy9MBY_c . In addition to still rocking the porn 'tache, it looks like Rivers wants to write a song with you. Yes, YOU! Should be an amusing experiment.

Aw, I like that video. That whole album is awesome and makes me happy. Weezer has been one of my favorite bands for a loooong time, and Rivers is will always be awesome in my book.

Talk about putting your heart on the table. The video is a bit corny but it's definitely good to see Indie soccer fans in the US. It must be the impossible combination. By the way, what a horrible place and day to train. Maybe looking for an epic tale of training in the rain at night... Very cliche...
