New Rogue Wave Video - "Lake Michigan"
Asleep At Heaven's Gate's proven divisive, but let's all agree that the sun-kissed summer pop of "Lake Michigan" is a standout moment. Guess the San Fran kids couldn't wrestle up the budget to head midwest and film its vid on the shores of the Great Lake, but they did the next best thing: get a bunch of sprinklers. Zach, Pat and Co. hop in the flatbed, drive out of L.A., and splish splash around in a sun-drenched SoCal field while performing a set of their chiming, triplet-infused indie for an audience of none. Cute, but have fun drying out those pickups, Rogue.

Don't they know we're in the middle of a drought out here?

Sprinklers notwithstanding, this kind of reminds me of Weezer's Island in the Sun (minus the animals and Brian Bell's exposed midriff).

I could see the Island in the Sun comparison. This song, and "Chicago X 12" are two of the best songs I've heard in months. I can't wait to hear the rest of the album.

This album has been streaming on their myspace page for the last three days, and it's their best yet!

Good god the writing on this site is TERRIBLE. So blatant in its attempt to be cutesy. AWFUL. This site used to be COOL!

Sorry boys, this isn't remotely close to LA.
Think closer to home turf.
Cheers:)
