New Röyksopp (Feat. Robyn) Video - "The Girl & The Robot"
As those production stills suggested, the Michael Baldwin-directed video for oft performed "The Girl & The Robot" offers a very literal interpretation of the track. Basically, we find poor lonesome Robyn home alone in her best dress, cocktail in hand, while her orange robot husband stays too late at the office. It's the first Röyksopp video in which both Torbjørn and Svein make an appearance. A strange "seeding" metaphor also makes an appearance.
"The Girl & The Robot" single is out 6/15 on vinyl and digitally. Junior is out via Astralwerks. Over at their website, the guys have come up with a list of the "Top 5 'Girl & Robot'-combos In Movies," Johnny 5.

Videos like this are really a throwback to some glory age of MTV that doesn't exist anymore.

Wall-E anyone?

This is the only truly non-formulaic yet not boringly experimental song on the whole album. And Robyn's boyish looks appeal to my latent homosexuality.
