New Saul Williams Video - "Convict Colony"

thumbnail icon: New Saul Williams Video - "Convict Colony"

When The Inevitable Rise And Liberation Of Niggy Tardust hit the Web last fall, 80% of the downloaders took it for free, though a higher bitrate version was available for $5. Trent Reznor was pretty disappointed in you guys. Undeterred, Mr. Tardust is promoting the album with a video for "Convict Colony," directed by Ray Tintori Chris Edley who did those cool MGMT clips. Saul is intimidating with his axe, but it's got pretty colors.

Via The Fader. You can now get Niggy Tardust on CD, with bonus tracks, for a price that is not optional.

I think the lack of actual sales was a result of hearing the album. It was downloaded for free, listened to, and not that good. Why would you pay after that? I think that better albums are actually purchased twice. That kinda inflates the numbers a bit, but what can you do?

This video is actually directed by Rob Leitzell, who made the mgmt videos, and produced by Chris Edley

The correction on the video's directors is getting closer, but Rob Leitzell should be listed as the co-director with Chris Edley.
