New Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin Video - "Think I Wanna Die"

thumbnail icon: New Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin Video - "Think I Wanna Die"

Although we've alluded to some new sounds in Someone Still Love You Boris Yeltsin's pop attack these days, "Think I Wanna Die" is for fans of the group's breezy Broom cycle. The video for the track features the sisters from Eisley and is directed by Israel Anthem, who directed Mute Math's "Typical" (aka the #3 Best Backwards Video Of All Time). Nothing so conceptually engaging here, unfortunately, so it just sort of passes by without much impact. Until the lead Yeltsin gets shot with an arrow while eating a to-go bowl of cereal and milk at the end. That was interesting.

Pershing is out via Polyvinyl.

Great song. Really looking forward to "Pershing." The remind me in spots of Christmas Fuller Project. Or Pinback. Or really any other sunny indie pop act.

When they were filming this video, John broke Will's hand during the smashed gear scene. That's why he wasn't playing at SXSW. Those guys = hilarious!

"Dead Right" would've been a better first single, but still awesome!

Huh? Aren't the girls from Eisley murdering them? Seems pretty engaging to me...

In any case, this is my fav song on their new/amazing album. I've got it on repeat on my iTunes and IN MY MIND! Spooooooky.
