New Spice Girls Video - "Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)"

They're back, and they still believe in the permanence of friendship. Sporty, Posh, Ginger, Scary, and Prego Spice are releasing a greatest hits comp, gigging around the world, and fielding offers from John Travolta to be their tour pilot. "Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)" is one of two new tracks for the Greatest Hits comp (available in the US exclusively through Victoria's Secret retailers). OK enough with the info you don't care about, and on to the nuggets you do: Gerri's got crazy abs, Baby looks crazy hot, and Posh has crazy robo-boobs and some very risqué lingerie. Actually the whole vid looks like a Victoria's Secret commercial -- hizzah for corporate synergy. And the tune is terrible. Enjoy!

Like Chris Moyales said on Radio 1, the song is definitely a grower, and once you like it, you're hooked. It's very reminiscent of some of their bigger ballads from the 90's. Mel C's part is very Beatles-esque, easily the highlight of the song. The video is pointless, though. How come only three of them dress up in lingere? And since when have they been about overtly selling sex? Terrible editing as well.

@ jdubs

How many Spice Girls does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

I've always thought Mel C was Beatles Esq.

NO. Fewer jokes, please. Many jokes =/= a good post. Quite the opposite. Sometimes it's just nice to get some straightforward news.

Anyway, the song is terrible. The video is pretty terrible. But I've still got to give the Spice Girls some love. They helped to fully activate my 12-year-old libido, way back in '96. For this, they will always be dear to me. And they still look damn smoking today. They just need a better video director.

wow, not much has changed. sporty is still carrying the vocals. and the rest . . . well. they're doing they're doing whatever they do. but I must admit, you could cut glass on Geri's abs . . .

Aw. Why wasn't Mel C's solo career successful at all?

Seriously. It's a chunk of typical, modified, airy pop and 12 seconds of something at least a little better.

This video is as cheesy as they come, didn't expect less!

Anyone remembers one of the rumored reasons why Ginger left the group in the first place was because she was fat, then she appeared looking like beef jerky on her "It's Raining Men" cover!!!

Looks like ten years is the required time to make a comeback or celebration. The other day someone at work had "Wannabe" on, like louder than it should be played - louder than a whisper.

Sporty was always my favorite, looks like I wasn't alone.

The fact that their success it's ten years old makes it okay for anyone to admit they didn't entirely hate then back when. They were "popacceptable", at least they were fun. Can't remember more than two tracks right now.

That video needs more clothes and less Victoria.
God, she was the least important one, what's happening to the world!?

P.S.: Girl Power!

Super Sugary..... The song was a waste of time. The direction of this video totally was disturbing. What a waste of un-forseen talent. Sex doesn't sell in this case. I still need some "Ginger".
