New TheDeathSet Video - "Negative Thinking"

Even back when they sort of blew out our eardrums (and blew us away) at their set-up-in-the-crowd set on the Pianos main-room floor during CMJ '07, TheDeathSet's vibe was, "you're all our friends, you will give us beer and hoist us up when we want to crowd surf, but you will also be welcome to dance in between me and my drummer if you want to." So "Negative Thinking" is a picture-perfect reflection of all that for the Baltimore-via-Gold Coast, Australia crew; friends singing along in moving polaroids (you'll recognize this dude), the band singing along in a sea of friends. The "punk-club-punk" label on their MySpace may seem sort of jokey, but actually it's pretty dead on. Observe:

TheDeathSet's full-length Worldwide is out 4/22 on Counter Records (rock imprint of Ninja Tune). Here's one for the road:

Is that girl with that bearded fella in the video his girlfriend? Call me jealous. I see them together all the time at death by audio. I was kind of hoping they weren't dating, but didn't want to step on her toes if so.

Sorry the last comment was a immature attempt at a joke. Edan is not "into dudes" now or ever, sorry boys. And sorry for the poor joke. Eat your hearts out, Ladies!
