New Thermals Video - "Pillar Of Salt"

This one comes from the Sub Poppers' recent The Body, The Blood, The Machine; a great record, though we're still wearing grooves into 2004's hook-laden Fuckin A. What's your vote?

Name that bespectacled-artist cameo at 2:16. Win indie cred!

Is this band the american answer to Maximo Park? I dig it a lot. Also the singer looks like Stephen Malkmus, which is auto-cred for me.

This song blows my ass out. And the video gave me "Basket Case" flashbacks, which were not altogether unwelcome.

Weren't we supposed to be voting? Anyway, I vote for Fuckin A - one of the best records of the decade so far.

Oh, and that's Colin Meloy.

this video is amazing!
im really glad that the thermals are getting more attention now. i've been a fan of theirs since "more parts per million" which is their best, in my opinion. "no culture icons" is the catchiest song ever written. download it. buy it. do something with it.

Zedd:

Are you talking about the lead singer performing Linsday Bluth's imitation of a chicken? If so, I caught it.

"thank god it's colin. if i saw ben gibbard, i would have to choke a bitch."

...and I would rather see that Panic! At The Disco guy or that My Chemical Romance guy or that Pete Wentz guy make an appearance in a Thermals video than Douchie Gibbard...

Get the fuck out of here.
