New Throw Me The Statue Video - "Lolita"

thumbnail icon: New Throw Me The Statue Video - "Lolita"

Since Scott Reitherman's Throw Me The Statue project secured BTW status, he's been a busy guy. He's taken away to SXSW. He's Taken Away on the ferry. And he's taken over our televisions with that Rhapsody ad. The tune from that spot, sunny Moonbeams standout "Lolita," gets a video today, with an appropriately desirable young girl (not Nabokov young -- even Scott makes certain lyrically his Lolita's 19, not 12) being chased by a father/son combo. Exploding cakes ensue.

That comes via MTV, who tell us the clip was directed by Matt Daniels. While you're waiting for TMTS' cover of Huey Lewis's "If This Is It" for that cover comp, have an MP3:

Moonbeams is out via Secretly Canadian. There will be a big tour soon, but for now it's close to home:

07/26 - Seattle, WA (Capitol Hill Block Party)
08/30 - Seattle,WA (Bumbershoot)

As usual, I had not heard of this outfit before discovering them here, but I sure do like this song! Kind of old-school in a good way.
