New To My Boy Video - "Model"

UK duo To My Boy are gearing up for their big US debut, a big dose of jerky kitchen-sink guitar-laptop futurepop, hearkening back to the "future" of Devo, with the occasional Maxïmo melody and a touch of the Tundra (Max, that is). In the vid for the forthcoming single "Model," the inner gears of their Playskool pop are strewn about through a crayola colored fun factory, fairly fitting of their spastic toy tuneage. To hear To My Boy Tell it, "Model" is "about the catharsis and pain of making something beautiful ... with our hands, minds and computer." Which reads deeper than it sounds.

Check out "I Am xRAY" and more at their site. To My Boy's debut Messages is out this July on XL.

Besides the fact that the video looks like a reject one of the "Japanese Whispers" era Cure videos directed by Tim Pope , the song itself is a 4th-rate children's instructional leggo tune complete with not-so-clever "glitches" and very annoying vocals. Just plain awful...

well, i guess if i dont have anything good to say, i shouldnt say anything at all, but i will anyway; This strikes me as awful and slightly redeemable by the cheesy music video

Sounds good to me! Sort of like britpop but a bit of an electro banger at the same time... videos pretty funny too
