New Tokyo Police Club Video - "Nature Of The Experiment"

These Canucks have been dominating their domestic record charts, which is a testament to the tastes of our northern neighbors. The track is just over two minutes and set at a blistering BPM, making those slowed down shots (recorded at double speed) pretty impressive for such young lads. But all that Saran Wrap, that's just wasteful. TPC does CMJ on 11/3 at Mercury Lounge (10PM), on a bill with Stereofaves Land Of Talk (9PM), Cloud Cult (10PM), and single Stroke Albert Hammond, Jr. (12AM). Have fun getting in!

Im happy to see their first video. I saw them Live a month or so ago. They are a good band going places.

I played with these guys early in the summer. I had no idea somehow that they would receive so much attention. They were great live though and their studio stuff rocks.

And by the way, what's with that bit about them "dominating their domestic record charts"? That would be nice, but unfortunately it's not true.

They're not currently in the Neilsen Soundscan Top 100, Alternative charts, or even in the campus radio top 50 (according to chartattack.com).

i don't know much about them dominating the charts but as far as talk this band (alongside land of talk) are getting more than their fair share of people all hot and talking up here in the north. They just played the LOLA festival this past weekend here in London(ON) and were easily the consensus most anticipated act.

I'm really glad that they recorded at double speed, since no shot (other than the brief shots of vocals) is longer than a single beat. Must have taken great concentration to get the image of one key being struck to line up with sound of one note being played...

Errrr.

Cool, John. I didn't know that. I only looked at the campus charts from the last 4 weeks and their name isn't in any of them.
