New Tunng Video - "Bullets"
Experimental folk sextet Tunng soon release LP3 Good Arrows, and they get the ball rolling by composing it of junk and casting it out into outer space in the vid for lead single "Bullets." It's a sort of junk meteor, made up of ViewMasters, golf clubs, and lacrosse sticks, on a course to lay waste to the sun. Meanwhile, the song itself moves along with less bells and whistles (well, figuratively) than the extraterrestrial scrap ball with a move from their better-tread folktronica toward a cleaner crafted acoustic cut. Junkyard juxtaposition with an explosive end.
Good Arrows is out now via Thrill Jockey.

It's been out over here for a while. I'd never heard of the band prior to hearing a track on a CD that came free with a magazine, and I ended up buying the album on a total whim - it's amazing. Probably my favourite new discovery of this year.
