New Twilight Sad Video - "I Became A Prostitute"

thumbnail icon: New Twilight Sad Video - "I Became A Prostitute"

After releasing the excellent lead MP3 "Reflection Of The Television," Scottish emo-gazers the Twilight Sad made "I Became A Prostitute the first single from their forthcoming, sophomore full-length Forget The Night Ahead. The smoldering guitar racket soundtracks some pretty simple but darkly hypnotic footage of a burlesque dancer, teasing and posing as James Graham pushes his choruses skyward and into the red. NSFW if your W isn't into transparent tops and exposed rumps.

Forget The Night Ahead is out 9/22 (9/21 in the UK) via FatCat. Don't forget the "I Became A Prostitute" single's b-side, "In The Blackout."

Do you guys think there's a sexual connotation to the little cowboy toy?

I'd love to be able to answer that, but I can't watch the video because there's no player there. Please fix it, Amrit.

Haha! Yeah, I think that's a little too Freudian for me. I love the ending of this song though, and have some high expectations for the new record.

You've let me down, Deezey. I was waiting on you to provide the answers to this riddle.

The image of that little toy will haunt me for weeks to come...

There seems to be a lot of hype surrounding The Twilight Sad at the moment. I'm yet to fully understand all of it but I need to listen to more material for sure.

Strange video... Is it actually old footage or just something filmed in a pub and stuck a brown filter on the tape?

As for the track, a few more listens and it might go in more...

Have you heard their debut album? If you do, you'll understand!

Last year they released a compilation and I think the two songs with "Untitled" in the title are going to be in the next album. I think, I'm not sure.
