New !!! Video - "Yadnus"

John Pugh is dead to Chk Chk Chk. How dead? Here, he's singing roadkill. As confirmed by Nic Offer at Lolla, dance-punk octet !!! had been pared to a lean and mean dance-punk septet when other lanky vocalist/drummer Pugh left to focus on Free Blood, but that day's guest vocalist Shannon Funchess has since been confirmed as the official eighth tentacle of this libidinous octopus (at least according to MySpace). This and that said, Shannon doesn't factor into the long-awaited clip for a track we first heard back in February; but Pugh does. In a VW bug definitely-not-built-for-eight, a quarter of the crew take a triplet-infused ride through some funked-up farmlands, and Pugh's lead vocal is mouthed by some bygone roadkill. Sure there's a gaggle of dancing chick chick chicks ... but the focus for us is that dead singer. Moral of the story: Don't hitchhike a ride from Herbie. And definitely don't drop out of !!!!

Recreate the maChk...

depends on how much more weed you smoke! the incomprehensibility of the post is mitigated by some background info (which i assume, admittedly). and by not being high. (which will also help with your comments have better spelling/apostrophe usage.) but i wanna help, so here are the cliff's notes for stoners!

1. john pugh was in !!!.
2. john pugh recently quit (lollapalooza was where we found out, from other singer/video star nic offer).
3. john pugh now sings in free blood. that band's myspace page is linked. if you click the words, you will go to the myspace page.
4. john pugh has been replaced by shannon funchess (who sang with !!! at lollapalooza, a music festival in chicago). shannon is not in this video, though. john sort of is (see below).
5. this is one of the !!! songs with john pugh as lead singer.
6. !!! made a video for this song. it is posted here.
7. the vocals in this video, for this song, posted here, are mouthed by some roadkill (which is a dead animal, here represented by a dead animal, on the road).
8. i am assuming that having the vocals sung by a dead animal is an indication of how !!! now feels about john pugh. who recently quit the band. to focus on his other band. called free blood.
9. i think that's pretty funny of them.
10. also, the volkswagon bug drives by itself. like herbie.
11. so don't quit chk chk chk, and don't take rides from vw bugs that drive themselves. either of those scenarios will result in roadkill.

hope that helps :)

What a bunch of fucking losers. The best part of the band leaves for good reason and the biggest (and lamest) insult they can come up with is to be douchebag wankers towards him and to make a supremely stupid video. This video sucks and does no justice towards the best song on "Myth Takes". Dumb fuckwads.

Quit Your Day Job: Ungdomskulen

Premature Evaluation: Beck - Modern Guilt
